David and I met five years ago while I was working at a bar and grill as a waitress. He and his friends were in a band and would play every Friday night. He always requested me as his waitress so we would chat here and there, only briefly. I knew he liked me but he never acted on it since he was so shy. For my birthday, my friends took me out to a ritzy restaurant where we indulged in some drinks. On our way back home, I noticed Ryan walking in the bar and grill with his friends. I was feeling brave so I told my friend to pull into the parking lot. I ran into the cafГ©, went up to him and asked him when he was going to ask me out on a date. I left my phone number on his receipt and walked right out the door. David called me the next day and that night, we went out for dinner and a movie. Ever since then, we have been together. That is our story!
